Whenever i find something that actually works well, i tend to reorder it later. sharing real world usage stories is often more helpful than any advertisement. sometimes i even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. if the first order is a disaster, i prefer to move on and not waste time with support.
if anyone is interested in real user experiences, i sometimes write short notes about the shops i test.
you can find one of the pages here:

some charts are very generic and do not match real measurements at all. i like when a shop clearly shows pd, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones. i also check if the lenses have any blue light filter or anti-reflection coating. if the first order is a disaster, i prefer to move on and not waste time with support. comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design.
hope this helps someone.
